How Wall Beds Can Boost Your Hotel or Motel

How Wall Beds Can Boost Your Hotel or Motel

Short-stay rooms, serviced apartments and staff accommodation all face the same problem: rooms that have to sleep people at night and still feel usable during the day. A wall bed is one way to get both.

More usable floor space

Closed, an Alpha wall bed is 410 mm deep. During the day the room can work as a lounge, workspace or family room. At night it’s a proper bed with a standard mattress up to 30 cm thick, not a fold-out sofa mattress.

Flexible room layouts

A queen wall bed in a living area can turn a one-bedroom unit into one that sleeps more guests when needed. A horizontal model fits under a window or on a wall with a low ceiling.

Practical points to check

  • Each wall bed is fixed to the wall studs or the wall structure, so check the wall type in each room.
  • Allow for the open depth when planning: 2150–2285 mm for vertical, 1258–1791 mm for horizontal.
  • Choose mattresses that suit wall beds. We can supply them.
